The Cantine Paolini are an excellent, forward thinking producer who are located in Marsala on the western edge of Sicily. Their 600 hectares grow a number of indigenous varieties including Frappato & Nero d’Avola as well as this excellent Grillo. The hot growing season and strong cooling breezes mean there is very little intervention in the vineyard. This Grillo is a very pale lemon in colour, has a delicious pear drop palate with a honeyed saline twist to finish. Super with seafood canapes or as an aperitif in the garden!
