The excellent Cantine Paolini co-operative produce this wine from the native Frappato grape variety from their winery in Marsala, western Sicily. The Frappato produces a fresh, light but highly flavoured wine with lashings of raspberry, cherry and redcurrant fruit flavours with a soft, generous texture. Perfect as a chilled glass of red in the summer, it is also a great match with autumnal dishes such as roasted pumpkin or spiced parsnip soup.
