Brilliant wines delivered to your door.
Where it all began…
Caroline, Mark, Ian & Freddie, 2015
On a chilly, windy day in October 2015, we opened our first independent shop as Morrish & Banham, in Brewery Square, Dorchester. 9 years later we certainly look older, we’re possibly wiser, and still extremely passionate about wine and sourcing the best wine, brilliant & great value wines from across the world. We believe in offering quality & value for money at every level and are known for our broad knowledge and friendly approach. We are always happy to source the right wine for the right customer.
We offer an outstanding collection of white, red, rose, and sparkling wines online with fast, reliable delivery both locally and UK wide. You will find new and exciting wines together with well-regarded favourites.
For each product we craft our own tasting notes and food pairing advice to give you the best online experience of M&B, adding our expert wine advice at every stage. We are here to help with more advice if needed and being a small team, we can offer free insider knowledge.

We have hosted many varied wine and gin tasting events each year since we started in 2015; featuring winemaker dinners at Dorset restaurants and our annual large walk around tastings. Our tastings are an enjoyable experience to explore wines in a relaxed setting and learn from a host of invited presenters including members of our M&B team to winemakers from across the globe.
You choose a venue, we’ll bring the wine! We are happy to travel and join you at your home, office, holiday accommodation or selected venue. To find out more about our tastings, join our mailing list below, or drop us an email for private events.
We supply top-class pubs, cafes and restaurants in the local area and beyond. We pride ourselves on sourcing the best value wines that we can. This is particularly true for the wines that we supply to our trade customers.
The team have good knowledge of traditional, contemporary and seafood restaurants and we have had great success in composing wine lists to suit each of these cuisines.
Nothing is more important to us than providing excellent value wines for our trade customers. Please contact us if you wish to discuss your wine list, we’d be pleased to visit and sample some wines with you.
We can source wines that you want – you give us the wish list, we’ll do the rest, whether you know exactly your wine style or are open to suggestion. As we get to know you, like all good relationships, we’ll remember what you like & keep a look out for the best wines that we think that you’ll love. The best part of our job is finding the right wine for the right customer, if you’re happy we’re likely to be happy too!
Mark is known in the wine trade for his excellent palate and his ability to assess and value wines. He is also known for his approachable, friendly style and his ability to help customers choose the right wine for the right occasion.
“I have been in the wine trade for many years and I enjoy the industry now as much as ever and still enjoy the thrill of matching the right wine with the right person. Over the years, having tasted & explored thousands of diverse wines I would like to think that I have developed a pretty good palate and I thrive on finding the next best thing for our shelves!
Life in the wine trade started in 1990 as a Junior Buyer for a highly respected wine merchant, Luckins Wine Store, in my hometown of Great Dunmow in Essex. During the next five years I studied at The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) in London passing all the examinations including the Diploma by the age of 21.
After a break to gain a degree in Geo Archaeology at Leicester University (and play rugby!), I returned to the wine trade to work for Tanners Wines, the great Shropshire wine merchant. In 2002, I joined Palmers Brewery and spent over a decade sourcing its wine before setting up Morrish & Banham wine merchants with Caroline in 2015. In 2020, we joined the Electric Pub Company and our adventure into pubs & restaurants began. In 2024 Caroline & I decided to go ‘back to our roots’ and once more M&B is run by the two of us.
My desert island wines are still Red Bordeaux and White Burgundy but I love anything that is good value, well made and has a story to tell.”
Caroline brings a broad experience in customer service and business to the team, always looking forward to the next challenge!
“After many evenings spent chatting about the dream of having our own wine business, Mark & I finally jumped at the challenge and set up Morrish & Banham in 2015. I have continued tasting and learning within the wine industry ever since. The world of wine is such an inspiring place to work, not to mention delicious! I have a keen interest in local Dorset wines, what we have on our doorstep is world class and not to be missed.
Our industry is ever changing, ever evolving, the journey of discovery is exciting, and I feel lucky to work within ‘Team M&B’, the knowledge and passion that exists in our small team really is exceptional and being part of that is very rewarding.
When we are off selecting new products for M&B my love is choosing the Champagne, Sparkling wine and fresh, dry whites; there are worse ways to spend the day!”
